Why we exist

Most EV charging projects die at the utility queue.

Transformer upgrades. 12–24 month interconnection studies. Fire-code restrictions on indoor parking. Vendor lock-in on management software. Monthly per-port fees. MÖTEN evfc was engineered to remove every one of these obstacles — with patented hardware, certified chemistry, and software included free with every MÖTEN charger.

Patented Hardware

The XEYAR shared DC bus architecture (USPTO PPA Rev.12 / CIPO FIG.1) lets us deliver up to 720 kW per port on a 100A service. The cluster topology is the invention — not an option, not a configuration. Defensible, certified, deployed.

Certified Chemistry

Non-thermal-runaway Na-ion and supercapacitor buffers carry UL 9540 3rd Edition, UL 9540A Pass, NFPA 855, and CSA C22.2 listings. Indoor and MURB code-compliant in markets where lithium DCFC is restricted by fire authorities.

Free CMS for Life on MÖTEN

The eMÖTEN Charger Management System is included free with every MÖTEN charger. No subscription, no per-port fees, no transaction cuts. OCPP 2.0.1 native — you can switch CMS providers anytime without changing hardware.

What we solve

Six engineered solutions to the problems that gate every project.

Grid Constraint Solution

No Electrical Upgrade Required

Deploy 8–20+ ports on your existing electrical service. The patented XEYAR shared-DC-bus cluster stores off-peak energy in a non-thermal-runaway buffer and delivers it at multiples of the grid rating — eliminating the transformer upgrade, feeder reinforcement, and 12–24 month interconnection study that gate most projects.

  • Operates from −40°C to +60°C
  • Na-ion or supercapacitor buffer — both non-thermal-runaway
  • USPTO patent pending · 39 hardware claims

Multi-Dwelling Solution

Strata, MURB & Multi-Dwelling Units

The #1 reason MDU and strata projects stall is electrical capacity. The XEYAR buffered cluster lets you deploy 8–20 ports per building with no panel upgrade, no fire-suppression upgrade, and individual sub-metering per suite or unit — bypassing the most contentious board votes entirely.

  • Indoor parkade code-compliant (NFPA 855, IBC, IFC)
  • Individual sub-metering per suite
  • No board vote on electrical capacity required

Remote & Off-Grid Solution

Remote, Off-Grid & Underserved Communities

Arctic-rated XEYAR Na-ion buffered systems operate reliably off-grid, on weak grids, or behind unreliable utility service. Multi-source 120–600V AC input accepts solar PV, wind, generator, and grid simultaneously. Many jurisdictions have dedicated funding streams for Indigenous, rural, and remote-community deployments.

  • Off-grid capable Na-ion buffer · rated to −40°C
  • Multi-source: solar · wind · generator · grid
  • Dedicated Indigenous & remote funding in many regions

Frequently asked

The questions buyers ask before they sign.

If yours isn’t answered here, our engineering team will respond within one business day.

How does MÖTEN evfc let us deploy EV charging without a panel upgrade?

The XEYAR battery-buffered cluster draws a continuous low-rate trickle charge from a standard service (typically 100A × 480V, ~83 kW), stores energy in a non-thermal-runaway buffer (Na-ion or supercapacitor, chosen per project), and discharges it at multiples of the grid rating when vehicles plug in. The grid never sees the burst. A single 100A service that previously supported one Level 2 stall can now drive a 4-port, 240 kW per port DCFC site. No transformer upgrade, no 12–24 month utility interconnection study.

What does “$0 CMS fees for life” actually mean?

The eMÖTEN Charger Management System is included free with every MÖTEN charger, with no monthly subscription, no per-port fees, and no transaction cuts — for the operational life of the hardware. This applies only to MÖTEN chargers; we do not offer free CMS service for third-party hardware. Revenue from public-facing chargers flows 100% to the site owner.

Which incentive programs is MÖTEN evfc hardware eligible for?

MÖTEN evfc hardware is engineered to meet certification requirements (UL, CSA, ETL, NACS, OCPP 2.0.1) that qualify it for the major federal, state/provincial, and utility EV charging incentive programs in the markets we serve. Specific programs vary by country — visit your country’s MÖTEN evfc page (US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UAE, KSA, Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, and others) for the active rebate map. Our team helps structure projects to maximize stacked funding across federal, state, and utility programs.

Is MÖTEN evfc hardware safe for indoor and underground parking?

Yes — when configured with the supercapacitor buffer (and with Na-ion in markets where the chemistry has UL 9540A Pass acceptance for indoor deployment). Both chemistries used in the XEYAR cluster are non-thermal-runaway, meeting NFPA 855, IBC, IFC, NEC Article 706, and CSA requirements for indoor and multi-unit residential deployment without dedicated fire suppression infrastructure. This is the regulatory edge that enables MURB, strata, condo, and underground-parking deployments where lithium-iron-phosphate DCFC is restricted by fire code.

How long does deployment take?

Level 2 sites with existing service typically deploy in 2–4 weeks (site survey to commissioning). XEYAR battery-buffered DCFC sites typically deploy in 4–6 weeks where the existing 100A service is already in place, because the schedule is dominated by site civil works rather than utility interconnection. Compare this to 12–24 months for conventional DCFC at the same per-port power rating, where the entire schedule is gated by transformer procurement and utility study queues.

Can MÖTEN evfc serve fleets of more than 100 vehicles?

Yes. The eMÖTEN CMS is architected for fleet operations from a 2-port pilot to 200+ ports across multiple sites. Per-vehicle RFID access, scheduled overnight charging, dynamic load balancing across the cluster, and per-vehicle cost reporting are all native features. The OCPP 2.0.1 native protocol means there is no vendor lock-in — you own your data and can change CMS providers without changing hardware.

What payment methods do MÖTEN evfc commercial chargers accept?

PHOENIX and DRACO commercial-tier chargers accept contactless card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, American Express, Discover, JCB, UnionPay), tap-to-pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay), regional debit networks (Interac in Canada, debit in EU/UK/AU markets), QR-code mobile checkout, and the eMÖTEN mobile app. Receipts are emailed automatically with applicable tax (GST/HST/VAT) line items. Owners on MÖTEN chargers keep 100% of revenue — there are no transaction fees, no network cut, and no monthly platform fees.

Can I keep my existing CMS or migrate to a different one later?

Yes — MÖTEN evfc hardware is OCPP 2.0.1 native. You can connect MÖTEN chargers to any third-party OCPP-compliant CMS (ChargePoint, Driivz, AmpUp, etc.), or you can use the included eMÖTEN CMS for free on MÖTEN chargers. There is no lock-in: switching CMS providers does not require changing hardware. Your historical data is exportable in standard formats.
