01Our commitment
EVFastCharge Ltd. ("MÖTEN evfc") is committed to making evfc.com and our digital products accessible to people of all abilities. We design, build, and maintain our website and the eMÖTEN Charger Management System with accessibility in mind.
EV charging infrastructure is critical to participation in modern transportation. We believe everyone — including people with disabilities — deserves equal access to information about, and the ability to operate, EV charging hardware.
02Conformance standard
We target conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is also the standard referenced by the U.S. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III guidance, Section 508 of the U.S. Rehabilitation Act, and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
Where current conformance falls short, we actively work to improve. We treat accessibility as an ongoing engineering practice, not a one-time audit.
03Accessibility features on evfc.com
- Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, lists, and form labels for screen reader navigation
- Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements (menus, dropdowns, forms, modals) are operable via keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators
- Color contrast — text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Resizable text — text scales smoothly up to 200% via browser zoom without loss of content or function
- Alt text on images — meaningful images carry descriptive alternate text; decorative images are hidden from assistive tech
- Skip-to-content link — the first focusable element on every page lets keyboard and screen-reader users jump directly to main content
- Reduced motion respect — animations and motion effects honor the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem preference - Screen-reader friendly forms — every input has an associated label; error messages are announced
04Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on evfc.com may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations:
- Some embedded third-party content (e.g., social media widgets, payment processor checkout iframes) is governed by the third party's accessibility implementation
- Older PDF spec sheets may not be fully tagged for screen-reader navigation; replacement-tagged versions are being rolled out
- Some product imagery uses gradient or low-contrast detail that may not be perceivable to users with certain visual conditions; we provide text descriptions alongside
If you encounter a barrier, please contact us (Section 6) — your feedback is the fastest way for us to identify and fix issues.
05Charger hardware accessibility
Physical accessibility of installed EV chargers depends heavily on site design — pedestal height, parking-stall clearance, cable management, surface gradient, and reach ranges. We work with installers and site owners to recommend installation configurations that comply with applicable accessibility standards:
- U.S. — ADA Title III and ADA Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) for parking and accessible-route requirements; many states have additional EV-specific guidance (e.g., California Title 24)
- Canada — CSA B651 and provincial accessibility legislation (e.g., AODA in Ontario)
- EU/UK — relevant national codes; EAA effective 2025 for B2C charging services
Our DCFC and Commercial L2 product lines offer mounting heights, cable lengths, and pedestal configurations selected to support accessible installation. Talk to sales@evfc.com for site-specific accessibility consultation.
