Most MÖTEN evfc products may be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are in new, unused, resalable condition with all original packaging, accessories, and documentation.
The 30-day clock starts on the date your order is delivered (per carrier confirmation).
02What can be returned
Eligible for return:
- Unused chargers and hardware in original sealed packaging
- Accessories (pedestals, holsters, adapters, mounting hardware) in original packaging
- Wrong items shipped (no restocking fee)
- Items damaged in transit (see Section 4)
Not eligible for return:
- Chargers that have been installed or energized
- Custom or configured-to-order systems (e.g., Battery Buffered cluster systems built to site specifications)
- Special-order or non-stock items quoted on a per-project basis
- Items more than 30 days past delivery
- Items damaged after delivery
- eMÖTEN CMS subscriptions for third-party hardware (pro-rated cancellation only — see Section 8)
03Restocking fees
To cover return shipping, inspection, and re-stocking, a restocking fee may apply:

04Damaged in transit
Inspect every shipment at the time of delivery. If a carton is visibly damaged, crushed, or shows signs of mishandling:
- Note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing
- Photograph the damage (carton exterior and contents)
- Contact us within 48 hours at returns@evfc.com
Concealed damage discovered after unpacking must be reported within 7 days of delivery, with photographs and a copy of the delivery receipt.
We will arrange replacement or refund at our cost when damage-in-transit is documented per these procedures. Failure to report within these windows may waive the carrier's liability and limit our ability to refund.
05How to return an item
- Email returns@evfc.com with your order number and a brief description of the reason for return.
- We will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, the return shipping address, and packaging requirements.
- Ship the item back, prepaid and insured, with the RMA number visible on the outer carton. Returns without an RMA number may be refused.
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we will issue a refund (less restocking fee, if applicable) within 10 business days to the original payment method.
06Return shipping cost
Customer is responsible for return shipping cost on buyer-initiated returns (change of mind, no longer needed, etc.).
We pay return shipping when the return is due to our error (wrong item shipped, defective on arrival, damaged in transit per Section 4).
07Refund timing & method
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item.
Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Wire-transfer payments are refunded by wire transfer back to the originating account. International orders are refunded in the original transaction currency; exchange-rate variation between purchase and refund dates is the customer's responsibility.
08CMS subscription cancellation
The eMÖTEN CMS is free with every MÖTEN evfc charger; there is no subscription to cancel for MÖTEN hardware owners.
For standalone CMS subscriptions on third-party OCPP-compliant hardware:
- Monthly subscriptions — cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the current billing period; no pro-rated refund of the current month.
- Annual subscriptions — cancel anytime; pro-rated refund of unused months less a 15% administrative fee.
09Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. To switch products, please return the original item per this policy and place a new order for the replacement.
